Starting to Look Like a Real House!!!

The scaffolds are finally down and it's beginning to look like a real house. We still have rock work on the front and finish the decks and railings - but the outside is getting close to being done!

The walls have been textured so now it off to all the fun stuff. We are busy picking out paint and tile and getting all the finished work completed. So many decisions - let along finding the time to buy everything for the subs........ It's a lot of work being your own general contractor - but it has been quite satisfying knowing you built your own home and had a say and control in every aspect of the building of the house. Didn't realize how much I would learned about homebuilding. Thank goodness for the resources of the internet.

We are still shooting for the goal of completing the house by the end of August. We are so confident that we even put our existing home up for rent through a local property management company. Wish us luck!!!! Soon to be Auburnites!!!
