Getting Ready for the "Big Inspections"

We are just about ready for the "Big Inspections". This is where the county signs off on all of the rough HVAC, electrical, plumbing, framing and exteriors wrap. Once we are past this phase - we are told - it's down hill from there!!!! We can start the first coat of stucco and install the rest of the insulation and start the drywall. This is also where the fun part begins. We are ordering all of our applicances, lights, fixtures, tile, etc. We have already purchased alot of the items. It's amazing what you can order on the internet and save a ton of money.

Our cherry cabinets have already arrived. Although we are not ready for them yet - our good friend and custom cabinet maker is moving to Idaho and have to deliver them early. They are not stained yet - but they look great!!!

Things are beginning to move really quickly now. Our goal is to be in the house by August 2007. Yes - of this year!!!!

Here's Ray installing the hardi-board for our new spa bathtub - complete with air jets and chromatherapy lighting.

This is our dog Jake guarding the property! HAHA. This is the beautiful country road that leads to our new house!
